Overview

This plan serves as a suggested pacing guide to support long range planning; teachers may need to modify the pace and should differentiate according to students and their instructional needs.

Connect4Learning (C4L) weaves together literacy, science, social-emotional, and mathematics learning to ensure that each subject is addressed meaningfully and comprehensively with each child. High-interest learning centers that support and extend children’s growing understandings are a fundamental part of daily lessons.

Additional resources and materials that support instruction of the Maryland Early Learning standards may be used to provide additional, follow-up instruction for all learning domains, as needed. Quarterly Timelines

The timeline below can be used to support planning for prekindergarten programs. For Tier I instruction, programs will use the Maryland Early Learning Standards, , Connect4Learning unit guides, and Scope and Sequence resources to plan lessons based on the suggested timeline and your students needs. Course Essentials includes optional resources to support planning and program implementation.

Please note, this is a suggested pacing guide and adaptations can be made based on the needs of the program, students, or other factors.
