Elementary Mathematics Grade 5 Scope and Sequence
The scope and sequence detailed in the timelines are guided by a consideration of whether the grade-level mathematical ideas are part of major, supporting, or additional content. The Achieve the Core's Where to Focus document identifies the major, supporting, or additional content for this grade, as well illustrating the progression of major content from Kindergarten through 8th grade. This scope and sequence reflects that 32 out of 38 weeks, or 84% of instructional time, is spent on major content.
