Motivation

STEP 1.

  Directions: Go to Slide 2 and select the play button to begin the What is An Algorithm? Links to an external site. video. As you view this video, think about what algorithms you follow everyday.

REMEMBER: If the sequence in an algorithm is not in order, whatever you are trying to do will not work.

 

Activity: Wixie - Flower Algorithm

Select the tab below for the appropriate Sequencing activity for your class.

Directions: Now that we've learned what an Algorithm is, let's put one together. Can you help to complete the algorithm?

Planting a seed so that it will grow into a beautiful flower requires following step by step directions.  Cut and paste the pictures to create the proper steps, or ALGORITHM of planting a seed so that it may grow into a flower.

Directions: Now that we've learned what an Algorithm is, let's put one together in Wixie to show how a plant grows from beginning to end.  Drag and drop the pictures in a sequence to show the correct algorithm?
