Overview
Today I will learn both left and right directions and how to turn Bee-Bot left and right.
Motivation
STEP 1.
Directions: Select the play button to begin Left and Right Robot Links to an external site.. As you view this video, think about your left and right hands, legs, and movements. Also think about how you will give directions to Bee-bot to turn right and left.

Lesson
STEP 2.
Directions: You will receive a direction card to practice moving Forward, Backward, Left, or Right. Below is a preview of the Directional Cards Links to an external site.. Listen to your teachers directions to turn or move in the correct direction just like Bee-Bot. Remember your eyes are always pointing in the direction your teacher tells you. Bee-Bots eyes need to point in the same direction. Bee-Bots eyes are always facing forward.
Activity: Turning Bee-Bot
STEP 3.
Directions: Your teacher will give your group a Bee-Bot to practice turning. Your teacher will also give you a copy of the Bee-Bot Turning Mat. Links to an external site. Follow your teachers directions and think about whether Bee-Bot will move Forward, Backward, Right or Left.

Directions: Select the links below to create a costume for Bee-Bot to wear as he travels around our classroom. You can print and decorate using crayons and markers or you can create your own in Wixie. Print and cut it out when you are done!
