Overview

Today I will develop a set of rules that outline the roles and responsibilities within an online community.

Activity

STEP 3.

Norms are also important for online communities.  There are different types of online communities, and depending on their goals, they might have different norms that members are expected to follow.

 

Directions: Follow your teachers directions to make a copy of the  gr2_dc_OnlineCommunityNormsStudentHandout (Links to an external site.).  With your assigned partner or group, read each example and explain how you think the norm helps the community reach its goal.  You will check your work together as a class.
