Overview

Today we will use what we have learned about writing code for Bee-Bot to deliver a message to our teacher.

Motivation

STEP 1.

  Directions: Today we are going to program our Bee-Bot's to deliver their message using the Bee-Bot on a mat of a school.  Let's start by sharing what message we wrote to a teacher last week in technology. Listen to your teacher's directions for when it's your turn to share.

Lesson

STEP 2.

  Directions: Using the Planning Bee-Bot's Route to My Teacher Mat 2 Links to an external site. draw a line from Bee-Bot to the teacher he is delivering his message to.  Remember Bee-Bot can only travel in the White Hallways.

 

Activity

STEP 3.

  Directions: Now it's time to code your route to your teacher.  Using the Bee-Bot Direction cards Links to an external site. that your teacher has given you, code your route on your Planning Mat Links to an external site.

 


STEP 4.

Directions: Think your code is correct?  Test it with your Bee-Bot on the school mat.  Were you able to deliver your message to your teacher? If not, go back to your code and debug to see if you can find the problem and fix it.

 

FINISHED EARLY?

Can you code Bee-Bot to deliver your message to your teacher, PAUSE, and then return to the front door of the school where he started?
