Overview

Today I will learn how to create a pattern and move Bee-Bot using his many buttons.

Motivation

STEP 1.

  Directions: Select the play button to begin the Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons Links to an external site.  video. As you view this video, think about the patterns that you see?

Step 2.

  Directions: We are going to make Button Headbands Links to an external site. to wear.  Can you make the buttons on your headband show a pattern like Pete's Buttons?

  1. Scissors IconCut out the buttons provided.
  2. Glue Bottle IconGlue them on the sentence strip.
  3. icon of stapler Ask your teacher for help stapling your sentence strip to make a headband.

  Directions: Let's look at two patterns together.  Can you help fill in the missing symbols?
