Overview

Today I will work to identify different shapes.

Motivation

STEP 1.

  Directions: Go to Slide 3 and Select the play button to begin the Shapes Roll - Read Aloud Story Links to an external site.. As you watch the read aloud, think about the different shapes you see!

Lesson

STEP 2.

  Directions: Can you raise your hand and share a shape that your recognized in the story? Can you think of any other shapes that we have in our classroom?

 

Let's write some of the shapes we saw and some others that we see in our classroom on chart paper.

Directions: Now that you know a little more about shapes, can you build a tower out of different shapes? Can you match the shapes with their names?
