OVERVIEW
During the first and third quarters, fifth graders have engaged in a Digital Citizen unit where they learned about the permanence of digital content, identifying private information and who to share it with, identifying strategies for cybersecurity, modeling positive behaviors online to protect their online reputation, and cyberbullying roles and prevention. This unit culminates in a Cornerstone task where students will have to apply these skills to complete a task. Their task is to create an advice column, podcast or public service announcement for classmates in need of guidance.
