On the previous page you learned about the requirements for your Cornerstone Task. Now, let's learn how to set up our computer to Get Started!

  Directions: Follow your teachers directions to open your Spinner Story Organizer found in your Google Drive from a previous lesson.

  • Go to hcpss.me and select G-Suite
  • Select Recent on the left hand navigation.
  • Look for your Spinner Story Organizer. 
  • Select your Spinner Story Organizer to open it in a new tab.

Directions: Next let's get started by setting up our Spinner Story using Scratch for CS First.  Follow the directions below or the Create a New CS First Project - PDF Links to an external site. to get started.  Select the video tutorial tab, if you need additional help.

  • Sign in to CS First (Links to an external site.).
  • Select the Blue + button and then select New Project in the drop down menu to open a new project.

  • Name your file in the blue text box found in the top menu bar.
    • Scratch for CS First Top Menu Bar with File Name - Cornerstone Task - FirstName

 

FILE NAME: Cornerstone Task - FirstName
  • You are ready to start to code your Spinner Story.

  Directions: Select the play button to begin Creating Your Project for the Cornerstone Video Tutorial Links to an external site.. As you view this video, follow the directions to get started with your HCPSS Building Trivia Questions project.

  Directions: Follow along with your teacher to make sure you have the the following documents open in separate tabs in your Chrome Browser in addition to this Canvas tab.  This will allow you to work through your Cornerstone task efficiently.
