Import from Commons

The module is located in Commons under the name Grade 1 CCGC: Cornerstone Task (SF). Once you have located the module, in commons, click on the ImportToCommons.png button and then choose the course you would like to import the module into.  It may take a few minutes for the module to import into your course, but once it does, the module is yours to modify and publish for your students. TEacher Considerations

This module contains a sample student facing assignment. You can choose whether to have your students use this assignment within Canvas or use another method to share the information, such as website links, with your students.  If you choose to use the assignment within Canvas, the content of this assignment may be used as is or modified. However, please be aware that the links to documents MUST be modified prior to being published for student use. This is content that students are to interact with and a sample has been put in as a placeholder.

Considerations for this assignment:

  • Change the submission settings if your students will not submit their creatures online.
  • In order to use the Google Slides template included in the module :
  • Instead of the Google Slides template, you can use gr1_ccgc_cornerstoneGoogleDocTemplate  Links to an external site.and follow the directions above for the slide.
  • Alternatively, you can use gr1_ccgc_cornerstoneWixieTemplate.  Use Send > Copy Project URL to turn in their work.
  • In order to use the rubric included in the module: 
    • Make a copy of the Google doc (gr1_ccgc_cornerstoneCheckYourCode Links to an external site.)
    • Modify as appropriate for your students.
    • Replace the link in the module with the link from your copy; edit the link so the end of the link is /copy instead of /edit. This will force the student to create their own copy when they open the link.
