Teacher Considerations

This module is a sample student facing module consisting of a number of pages of content. Depending on the needs of your students, the content of the module may be used in its entirety or modified, however, please be aware that some of the pages MUST be modified prior to being published for student use. In most cases, these pages contain content that students are to interact with and only a sample has been put in as a place holder.

Although it might be appropriate for some students, the module was not intended to be entirely self-paced. It is intended that the teacher will guide the students through the module and allow for self-paced work when appropriate. For example, if a video has been embedded on a page for the students, the teacher may find that it is more appropriate to show the video as a whole class and have discussion throughout the video instead of having the students watch the video on their own and have discussion at the end. In this case, the teacher might want to remove the video for the students.

Below is a list of modifications and considerations for this module:

      • Make a team envelope that has individual cards for each item list and individual cards for team roles.
      • Implement a time management system using a timer.
      • Have a process for helping teams settle disagreements.
      • Teachers may edit the project or assign the project by clicking the actions button.
      • Delete this page from the module, or keep it unpublished so that it is not viewable for students.
      • Students can use the navigation bar or the arrows on the bottom of the page to move through the module.
