Grade 3 Creative Communicator Global Collaborator Cornerstone Task Summary
Summary
Third grade students will learn first hand how social media can improve productivity. Students will invent an ice cream flavor and provide a detailed description of the ice cream flavor. Students will share their ice cream flavor cards on a class google slide. Students will peer review the ice cream flavors and provide feedback. Students will use the feedback in order to reflect on their invention to determine what changes are needed in order to make the ice cream flavor sell better at a grocery store.
Standards
Creative Communicator
Students communicate clearly and express themselves creatively for a variety of purposes using the platforms, tools, styles, formats, and digital media appropriate to their goals.
Global Collaborator
Students use digital tools to broaden their perspectives and enrich their learning by collaborating with others and working effectively in teams locally and globally.
Considerations
- Consider creating a list of ice cream flavors and toppings on a class list with students to be used for ideas and spelling.
- Consider creating a sample ice cream card with students to model the different steps involved in this task.
