Grade 3 CCGC: Cornerstone Task Lesson Activity Task (SF)

Go to the Scoopville Ice Cream Lab in Wixie to create your ice cream flavor.

• Type your web safe name (first name and last initial) in the Scoopista box.
• Type to creative name of your ice cream flavor in the Flavorful Name box.
• Describe the flavor of your ice cream in the description Box.
  • The description should include flavors of ice cream and any mix-ins that make up your unique ice cream flavor.
  • The description should also use adjectives to highlight the flavor and help add interest.
• Your flavorful name and the description should make sense.  If your flavorful name is Chocolatey Chocolate Frog Legs, it would make sense that chocolate is a flavor in the description.
• Decorate the ice cream cone using the paint tools and sticker library.  Decorations should reflect the ice cream flavor and description.

• Review the Scoopville Ice Cream Cards on the Class Feedback Google Slides. 
• Your job is to provide feedback to at least three different classmates 
  • Your feedback must use positive language.  Don't use words like "eww, gross, yuck..." Instead, let your classmate know that his/her flavor sounds interesting but that you prefer other flavors. 
  • Make suggestions on how to improve the flavor to make you more likely to want to purchase it through the use of better descriptive language.

Before you read the comments on your ice cream card, take a deep breath.  Feedback can be difficult to take in.  Remember, this feedback is to help you improve your ice cream flavor.  Based on the feedback, do you think your ice cream flavor will sell well?  What changes would you make to your flavor to make it sell better in local grocery stores?
