Grade K Creative Communicator Global Collaborator Cornerstone Task Assessment
Assessment Evidence
Students will work collaboratively to complete a project that has an earth friendly message. In completing this project they have to choose a tool that will convey their message while being a productive member of the team. Each student will be expected to rotate to fulfill different roles within the team. The project will be assessed to see if it expresses the earth friendly message and students will be assessed on how they worked within the group--this assessment can be a combination of their self assessment, the group’s assessment of itself, and teacher observations. The ability to choose a tool to convey a message effectively and to assume different roles within a group are the essential elements of this task.
Supporting Materials
Teachers can use the rubric for assessment purposes. Anecdotal observations of students’ work within their groups can also be used for assessment purposes.
