Empowered Learner - Keyboarding:

- After teaching the lesson on Citing Sources this gives the students the opportunity to put what they learned into practice. Students can choose to use WIXIE Links to an external site. or Google Slides Links to an external site. to collect information and CITE the sources using the "Cite" buttons from the Mackin Via databases

- Code a Mars Helicopter Game

- Day 1: Students will create a Kaiju (Giant Monster) in Wixie and complete fun information about it. Day 2: Students will transfer their monster to Scratch and code some actions.

- Students watch a BrainPOP to review Internet Safety, then play a Kahoot game to review Chromebook care. Finally, they complete a Wixie to share thoughts on summer.

- Video covering caring for the Chromebook over the summer. Consider expanding teaching students how to organize bookmarks and clean out old ones and create a tech tip bookmark folder as part of their lesson.
