Pacing of Computational Thinker Unit by Day and Objective
Day Objective
Days 1 & 2

Students will learn about their Cornerstone project in Scratch Jr. They will learn about programming partner roles and be assigned partners to work together with. They will begin to create their plan for their Dance Party.  Their plan will include a background, two sprites and three dance moves that include 3 actions each that repeat or loop.

Days 3 & 4

Students will review their plan using the Student Checklist to see if they have included all the required elements.  They will create their Cornerstone project in Scratch Jr. and begin to code their dance by adding their background, and two sprites to their project.  Students will continue coding until their project includes all the required elements. They will run and debug their code.

Days 5 & 6 Students will finish coding their Dance Party.  They will run and debug their code and use the Student Checklist to make sure that their project includes all the required elements.  Students will share their finished project with their classmates. They will complete a self-assessment to reflect on their learning.
