How to Support Your Child

  • Ask your child to dribble a ball with his/her hands and feet.
  • Practice using a variety of locomotor skills in a variety of activities.
  • Practice throwing overhand to a partner.
  • Encourage your child to develop a jump rope routine.
  • Discuss fitness test results with your child.
  • Have your child participate regularly in a physical activity to develop a healthy lifestyle.
  • Discuss the health benefits of participating in physical activities.
  • Walk or jog with your child, if possible.
  • Discuss the importance of accepting students of all skill levels while working in partner and/or team activities.
