Notifications help users know when updates are available within Canvas, and generally delivered via email or text message. They can notify users of assignments, grades, communications, and more. Parents' primary email address on file in HCPSS Connect Family File is automatically added to Canvas. Additionally, middle and high school students' school email addresses are added. Additional contact methods can be added. Canvas includes a set of default notification preferences that can be customized. Learn more by reviewing the link and video below.

Watch the video below for information on how to set your notification preferences.  Although Twitter is showcased in the video, do not establish Twitter as an approved Web Service.  Twitter is not an approved third-party service for student use.  Notifications for students should be established through email and/or phone.  Students who use email notifications must meet the Terms of Service for the email provider.
