Where Do I Save My Work

With the increased use of technology for instruction, it is imperative that students know how and where to save their work. Saving files in the appropriate, approved locations will ensure continued access to files and prevent accidental deletion or loss of work. This resource will provide you with the knowledge and procedures for saving files properly.

Directions

Students have the option of saving files to either their Network Share (server) or to the G Suite (Google Drive). Below you will find instructions on how to use both resources responsibly.
Note: Files saved to G Suite are accessible anytime anywhere with an Internet connection.  Files save to the Network Share are only available via HCPSS computers while at school.

Warning: Under no circumstances should you save files that you wish to retain to the local machine, including the desktop or documents folders. Profiles are automatically purged from computers. In doing so you risk the permanent, unrecoverable loss of files and folders.
