K-8 Grades

In Canvas you can see both overall subject grades and course assignment grades.

Subject Grades

On the Canvas Home screen, select the grades tab to see your current assignment grades in this subject. On this screen you may click an assignment title to see your submission and feedback from your teacher.

  1. From the Home page, click the Grades tab.
  2. Your total subject grades display (many elementary courses will not show a % grade).
  3. To view assignment grades for a subject, click the subject name.
  4. Note: If subject percents aren't used, you will see a dash.

Assignment Grades

Select the grades tab to see your current assignment grades in this subject. On this screen you may click an assignment title to see your submission and feedback from your teacher.

  1. Use the Grading Period dropdown to view a different grading period.
  2. Middle school students, you will see the current course percentage.
  3. Middle school students, you can click View Assignment Group Totals arrow if your teacher is using assignment groups.
  4. The assignment name 
  5. Due date
  6. The assignment category
  7. Your score on the assignment. This could be points or a letter.
  8. A blue dot means the assignment has unread scoring details or comments.
  9. A dash in the score column means your teacher has not entered a score yet.
  10. Open the View Feedback link to see comments from your teacher
  11. Digital assignments will be marked as submitted, missing or late. Your teacher may also add the label "missing" to work that is submitted on paper.
