In the upper right corner of the Canvas screen is a drop down menu that you can use to select a different child to view.

If one of your children is missing from this drop down please notify the front office of your school. They will work with the technology team to resolve the issue.

If you have stopped receiving Canvas Notification in your email:

• Check your email's spam/junk folder and look for messages from notifications@instructure.com. If they are there, mark messages from this address as "Not Junk"/"Not Spam" and add notifications@instructure.com to your email's address book.
• Check your Canvas notification preferences and confirm that you have you notifications turned on.
• Sometimes email providers will bounce back messages to the Canvas server, flagging your email address as undeliverable or "does not exist". If this has occurred Canvas will disable future outgoing messages to that address and you will see a red exclamation mark next to your email address on your Account Settings Screen. Reach out to the front office of your child's school if you see this on your account*.

*Because elementary students do not have an active Office 365 email they will always see the red exclamation mark next to their email address.

On the notification settings screen, you can adjust the notification frequency to a daily or weekly email or turn off certain types of notifications.

We strongly discourage parents from turning off Conversation notifications. Conversations are inbox messages intentionally sent from the teacher to you and turning off those notifications may cause you to miss important information. Announcement notifications are sent to everyone in the course, but in elementary school in particular, the audience for announcements are parents so we do not recommend turning those off.
