PreK•Connect4Learning
Overview
Connect4Learning provides a full year of research-based interdisciplinary instruction focused on foundations in literacy, science, social-emotional, and mathematics learning. Connect4Learning weaves together all four domains to ensure that each subject is addressed in a manner that is meaningful for each student. The curriculum offers practices and concepts that are applied across all four domains while honoring what is distinctive about each area. The holistic approach to teaching and learning allows a teacher to meet each student at their developmental level. Engaging, high-quality instruction through play-based activities complement and enrich student experiences.
Creating lessons that help develop a love of learning while allowing children the opportunity to express their thinking requires thoughtful, intentional instruction. Connect4Learning provides this instruction by interweaving academic and social skill development. Teachers facilitate student discussion, provide a model for the respectful exchange of ideas, and help students develop their own voices. With Connect4Learning students learn to nurture relationships, engage in meaningful learning and build conceptual understanding in all domain areas.
