Grade 3 CT: Loops with Dash Challenge Cards

Grade 3 Computational Thinker Loop Challenge Cards with Dash

Overview

Today I will use Blockly programming to move the Dash robot with proficiency. I will use Dash Challenge Cards to code a loop.

Lesson

In this unit we will be coding Dash.  You will become a programmer by using a block-based coding language called Blockly.  This is where you will drag-and-drop various blocks or "pieces" of instructions that are put together in order to accomplish a task.

STEP 1.

Directions: Select the play button to begin Loops with Dash (Blockly App) Links to an external site. to review the Blockly workspace and using Loop Blocks. As you view this video, think about how using a loop block is helpful when coding.

STEP 2.

Directions: Follow your teachers directions to get into small groups to complete the Dash Loops Challenge Cards.

Remember that for Blockly to remember what puzzles your group has completed, you must use the SAME CHROMEBOOK logged in with the SAME USERNAME each time. Record this information on your worksheet.
