Overview
Today I will learn how to create a story that includes sprites, backdrops, dialogue, and movement using code.
Lesson
STEP 1.
Select the play button to begin Directions: Story Elements Part 1 Links to an external site.. As you view this video, think about what story element sprites, backdrops, dialogue and movement would be.

STEP 2.
Directions: Let's review the essential story elements that need to be decided before you begin creating any story.
Backdrops will be your Setting.
Dialogue and Movement will make up your Events.
Activity
STEP 3.
Directions: Use the Spinner Story - Google Doc to select your story elements. There is a spinner for each of the essential story elements mentioned above. Once you have spun your spinner, make sure you record where your spinner lands in the correct column.
- Select the link to make a copy of the Spinner Story Links to an external site. in your Google Drive.
- Follow the directions to complete the chart with your story elements.
Select the Next button at the bottom of the page to complete your assignment and turn in your work to your teacher.
